Generation Unlimited – Youth Challenge

Lotus

The Lotus team is made up of young people living in public institutions, who developed a mentoring program for their peers at the beginning of their career choice. Because many are unaware of the situation of children living in orphanages, many have prejudices against them, and they continue to face these prejudices even as adults, looking for work.

The “ENTRY” project aimed to create a community center to provide a meeting point and place for joint activities for both children and young adults in a family and orphanages. The project also includes several mentoring programs to help these young people find a job, manage everyday official paperwork, and prepare them for independent living. Through joint activities, this program seeks to overcome prejudice by giving those in the community space a better understanding of the lives of young people living in orphanages.

Generation Unlimited – Youth Challenge

The Generation Unlimited Youth Challenge calls on young innovators to design solutions to improve education, employment and civic engagement. It aims to inspire young people with brilliant ideas, but without the resources to bring them to life. This includes 14-24 years old young people, those who face daily discrimination due to their ethnicity, their gender or their disability and those who are disadvantaged by poverty. Launched in September 2018, Youth Challenge 2.0 takes place in 40 countries worldwide in 2019/20.
