The high school members of the “The Pearl of Szajla” team established a donation center in a closed off part of the Szajla village, the 250-person Ó-Szajla. The young people realized that there are a lot of donations coming to locals that they don’t need and on the other hand, often don’t receive items that they would really benefit from. Because people often don’t dare to ask for items personally, the team assesses the real needs in a closed Facebook group while also keeping in touch with donor individuals and companies.

Generation Unlimited – Youth Challenge

The Generation Unlimited Youth Challenge calls on young innovators to design solutions to improve education, employment and civic engagement. It aims to inspire young people with brilliant ideas, but without the resources to bring them to life. This includes 14-24 years old young people, those who face daily discrimination due to their ethnicity, their gender or their disability and those who are disadvantaged by poverty. Launched in September 2018, Youth Challenge 2.0 takes place in 40 countries worldwide in 2019/20.
